This winter I thought I would plant some sun flower seeds to watch them grow. I live in Central Pennsylvania (zone 5). Well they eventually died. I think I did not give them the right amount of light. Now it is the end of May, hopefully the threat of frost is over, and I am starting again. I planted these seeds 2 weeks ago. I planted to in each area. I got these planters from discount plants that I planted in my garden. I added to soil from our yard, as well as some sand that landed out of the sandbox and mixed it together. I bought the seeds online this winter. So far so good. There is something eating the leaves. If that continues I will need to move them. I will keep you updated on the progress. Does anyone know how to stake up sunflowers? What is what I need to do next.
