When can you practice these?
love- The more you give the more you receive. Tell others you love them!
"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life
to celebrate.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
joy- Enjoy the small things in life. You have been blessed in so many ways.
peace- A man is not an island.
A human being is part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part
limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and
feelings as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical
delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons
nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by
widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and
the whole of nature in its beauty. ~ Albert Einstein
"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing
opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures."
~ John F. Kennedy
patience- In line at Walmart. In the car in traffic. Waiting for dinner to be done cooking. Waiting for prayers to be answered.
kindness- Be nice to that telemarker on the phone. Show kindness to the mean sales clerk in the photo department.
To humorist Will Rogers, strangers were simply friends he hadn't met.
"Everybody can be great..., because anybody can serve. You only need
a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love." - Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr.
goodness- Meet standards. What standards do you have?
faithfulness- Stop worrying about the future because you don't have control of it anyway.
"Within you is the divine capacity to manifest and attract all that you
need or desire." Our intention creates our reality." – Wayne Dyer
gentleness- Be understanding of other peoples lives and situations.
self-control- Stop and think before reacting to a situation.
How do you practice these things in your daily life? Can you fit these into your new years resolution(s)?
